Crafting Dreams

The Timber Tailor Story

In the ever-evolving landscape of interior design, Timber Tailor stands out for its innovative materials and top-quality craftsmanship. Founded eight years ago by Sophie and Gilles de Crayencour, Timber Tailor epitomizes the fusion of passion, creativity, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

Drawing inspiration from a shared love for luxurious interior design, Sophie and Gilles embarked on a journey to redefine the concept of tailor-made living spaces. Fuelled by an entrepreneurial spirit and a profound appreciation for manufacturing processes, Timber Tailor was born. Gilles’s penchant for exploration and hands-on craftsmanship complements Sophie’s architectural lineage and passion.

We value strong family bonds and lasting collaborations. Starting from a modest workshop, we’ve grown to form valuable partnerships with esteemed artisans such as the century-old Rigobert woorworking. At Timber Tailor, innovation isn’t just a concept—it’s ingrained in our ethos. We thrive on exploring innovative materials and creating unique combinations to bring our designs to life.

FUTURE SHOWROOM

Opening soon.

Opening our showroom in Lasne was a major milestone, showcasing our bespoke furniture and extensive materials library. Now, we are preparing to expand into a historic mansion in Bousval by the end of 2024.

This manor will offer clients a chance to fully immerse themselves in Timber Tailor’s exceptional craftsmanship. The mansion will house a 1000 m² showroom and a 200 m² material library, showcasing an eclectic array of living spaces and our bespoke luxury interiors.

The manor, an old mansion that belonged to a recognized industrialist in Belgium, will undergo a spectacular transformation. We’re dedicated to preserving its rich heritage while infusing it with modern design and innovation. We will keep the old parts of the building as much as possible, as well as some beautiful moldings and materials. For the parts to be renovated more in-depth, they will subtly combine the contemporary and classic styles.
